From Site Visit to Accepted Quote: How Just Send It AI Works
A step-by-step walkthrough of quoting a real job with JSI, start to finish.
Quick answer: Just Send It AI works in five steps. You describe the job by text, voice, photos or video; the AI builds a scope, itemised pricing, risk flags and conditions based on your own business costs; you review and refine it; you send it to the client by email; and the client accepts or declines online. Most quotes are ready in under two minutes.
Here's what that looks like on a real job: a homeowner wants an old fuse board replaced and two extra double power points in the kitchen.
Step 1: Set up your business once
Before your first quote, you fill in your profile and the Business Cost Calculator. It asks for your monthly costs (vehicle, fuel, insurance, tools, licensing, phone, software, marketing, accounting), your super rate, tax provision, target take-home income and realistic billable hours. JSI uses this to work out what you really need to charge, so every quote is priced on your numbers, not someone else's.
Step 2: Capture the job on site
Standing in front of the board, you can:
- Type a quick note, like "replace ceramic fuse board, 6 circuits, add 2 DGPOs in kitchen"
- Record a voice note while you look around
- Snap photos of the board, meter and kitchen wall
- Upload a short walkthrough video, up to 60 seconds
Add the client's name and the job location, then tap generate.
Step 3: JSI builds the quote
In seconds JSI produces:
- A scope of works in plain English
- Itemised materials and labour
- Risk flags, such as asbestos backing on old boards or unknown cable condition
- Important notes and conditions, including what is excluded
- Low, Mid and High options so the client can choose
The Wiring Rules Assistant checks the job against AS/NZS 3000, flagging RCD protection, earthing, cable sizing and switchboard requirements, so nothing compliance-related gets left off the price.
Step 4: Review, edit and refine
You're always in control. Edit any line, adjust quantities, or use Refine to tell JSI what changed ("client wants surge protection added") and it rebuilds the quote. The Internal Summary PDF shows you the working behind the numbers.
Step 5: Send it and get a yes
Send the quote by email straight from JSI. Your client gets a branded, GST-compliant Client Quote PDF and a secure link to accept or decline online. You get notified, and the job moves into your Jobs list with the client saved.
After the job is accepted
For NSW work, JSI helps you prepare your CCEW from the accepted job details, including installation type, work type, equipment and metering details. Your Jobs and Accounting views show quotes generated, sent, accepted, your win rate, and value quoted versus value accepted.
Why this matters
The first professional quote in the client's inbox often wins. JSI is designed so that quote is yours, sent before you've left the street. Try it free for 14 days, no credit card needed.
