23 Years on the Tools Before I Ever Touched a Line of Code

The Real Story Behind Just Send It AI

By Rob TheodoridisJust Send It AI

I did not set out to build software. I set out to be a good electrician, and for twenty-three years, that was the entire plan. Licence, tools, a ute, a growing business. Nothing about that path involves writing a system prompt or arguing with a developer about database structure. But here we are, and I think the story of how I got from one to the other actually matters, because it explains exactly why Just Send It AI works the way it does, and why it doesn't work like anything else in this market.

The years that actually built this product

Before Just Send It AI existed, I ran Sydney Electrical Contractors, and I still do. Two decades of switchboards, rewires, commercial fit-outs, emergency callouts, the full spectrum of what this trade actually involves. Along the way, the business earned real recognition, not self-declared, independently judged, NECA Excellence Award commendations in 2018 and 2019, Blacktown City Local Business Awards across three separate years, Business of the Year in 2020, an Australian Small Business Champion Award in 2021. I mention this not to boast, but because it matters for what comes next. Every pricing rule, every compliance flag, every risk consideration inside Just Send It AI's quoting logic came out of real, tested, award-recognised work, not a market research report written by someone who has never held a multimeter.

The moment the idea actually started

There was no single lightning bolt moment. It was closer to a slow accumulation of the same frustration, night after night, quote after quote. Drive to the job. Assess it properly, because half-assessed jobs come back to bite you. Drive home. Sit down when I was already exhausted and write up a quote by hand, rate cards, GST, formatting, trying to make it look like it came from a professional operation instead of a scrawled note. Send it. Wait. Get ghosted more often than not. I did this literally thousands of times across two decades. At some point, the maths of it stopped feeling like the cost of doing business and started feeling like a problem I was actually capable of solving, if I found the right people to help me build it.

Why I didn't build a generic tool

I looked at what already existed before deciding to build anything. Job management platforms, quoting features bolted onto broader suites, generic AI writing tools with no trade knowledge at all. None of it was built the way an actual electrician would build it, because none of it was built by one. I wanted something that understood GST handling correctly the first time, that could structure a quote around AS/NZS 3000 without me having to double-check it, that flagged a compliance obligation the moment a job needed one, not as an afterthought bolted onto a job management dashboard. That meant building it myself, with a team, from the ground up, rather than adapting something that was never designed around a real electrician's actual working week.

What this means for the person using it

When you generate a quote through Just Send It AI, the logic behind it did not come from a product manager guessing what tradies need. It came from thousands of real quotes, real jobs, real client interactions, and, honestly, a lot of real frustration that took two decades to fully understand. I am not a tech founder who identified a market gap from the outside. I am a working sparky who got sick of losing time and money to a broken process, and built the tool I wished had existed the entire time I was living it.

Just send it. That's not a slogan I picked because it sounded good. It's the instruction I wish someone had given me twenty years ago, instead of another form to fill out.
