23 Years on the Tools Before I Ever Touched a Line of Code

I did not set out to build software. I set out to be a good electrician, and for twenty-three years, that was the entire plan. Licence, tools, a ute, a growing business. The moment the idea actually started

There was no single lightning bolt moment. It was closer to a slow accumulation of the same frustration, night after night, quote after quote. Drive to the job. Sit down when I was already exhausted and write up a quote by hand, rate cards, GST, formatting, trying to make it look like it came from a professional operation instead of a scrawled note. Send it. That meant building it myself, with a team, from the ground up, rather than adapting something that was never designed around a real electrician's actual working week.

I am not a tech founder who identified a market gap from the outside.
